Ep 75: Brit Murlas - Little Feminist Book Club

Book club for your little ones with books sent to you monthly? With each one featuring a strong female character or child of color? YES PLEASE!

Meet the brains behind creating this much needed model to teach our girls AND boys empathy from a young age.  Brittany (aka Brit) Murlas went from the Executive C-suite at a big company to creating her own company with a big world vision. Using her own savings, Brit realized the appalling stats of the majority of children's books being written by white males and decided to do something about it.

She (along with her diverse team) curate books for 0-9 year olds that are written by emerging authors who have characters that match. Imagine being able to read to your child about someone with special needs, or the 'hats' that different religions have, or hero stories where it's SHE who saves the day! Along with discussion guides and a parent newsletter too...it's a treat month after month! You can't help but fall in love!

Brit also has a SPECIAL 30% discount for our Feminine & Fulfilled listeners at her store www.thelittlefeminist.com. Tune in to grab it...I've already signed up and can't wait to read with my stepdaughter!
