Confession time. I bought new panties recently - the VS 5 for $28 panties. Why?
Well the ones I have LIDERALLY have holes in them. And not even like hot sexy ones...these are the white ones turned greige -- a color that should only be for your walls!
What kills me is I've been good about re-hauling this drawer for the last two years. I had heard a great talk by Denise Duffield-Thomas about how your panties are a sign of how you feel about yourself. Since no one sees them, you walk around with hole-y, saggy panties. Kind of like never decorating your bedroom but making sure your family room looks great since that's the main thing people see (more on this later).
So I re-hauled my panties drawer two years ago and it was the BEST feeling. I even threw out my nasty period underwear and got a nice new pack of cotton undies (TMI but you know what I'm talking about!).
It was part of a major makeover I was making for myself and what I love. Around this time is when I also re-designed my bedroom with Interior Designer, Nadia Khawaja, and Creation Coach, Mayan Tran.
Mayan told me something really interesting when she first visited my home. She noticed my bedroom was a bed with a fugly green comforter surrounded by builder grade white walls. And that's it. She was surprised because the main level was beautifully decorated and yet my bedroom basically looked like a college bachelor lived there.
She suggested I start designing my bedroom because from a Feng Shui perspective, it was the wealth area of my home and also represented love. Both of which were kind of 'eh' in my life. Ok, let's be honest...they were non-existent.
So I took her suggestion as a personal challenge and decided I would splurge on this area because I DESERVED IT. And with the help of these two amazing ladies, I created the most gorgeous room ever. Like out of a magazine!

(Yes - this is my room!)
I never would have imagined how valuing myself by clearing my nasty panties and decorating my bedroom would have such an impact. It was so easy to dismiss these parts of myself thinking they're not really important. But making those changes sent a ripple effect throughout.
Saying I matter, all of me matters. To honor my sacred spaces - this body and this room that allows me to sleep every single night.
So why new panties again, now? Well that's the way life is...things don't get blah overnight. They get worn day to day, thrown in the ringer, and then kind of forgotten even though you still use them constantly. Then one day you wake up, look in the drawer and think MY GOD....what happened?
This happens with our life, relationships, our work, our desires, our dreams, our selves.
And, I cannot let you wear hole-y greige underwear. Girlfriends don't let girlfriends wear nasty panties.
You are worth new panties, a gorgeous bedroom, and so much more. You are worth the biggest makeover of your life. One that you will adore.
You can make a choice right now. Think about your panties...do you want to keep them or are you ready for some new cotton bikinis along with maybe some sexy (but comfy!) thongs!
Comment below with your choice of new panty (let's vibe up some hot sexiness here!)
Hugs,
Shazia
p.s. my love life is SO existent now…here's that story :)
