Spring is in the airrrrr...Or so I'm telling myself as I'm waiting to bust outta here already!
The good thing about feeling like spring is here (except maybe it's still a teeny weeny while away)....is getting the spring cleaning done early! Then when spring arrives, you can go enjoy the gorgeous weather and fresh air!
I may be one of three people in this world who adore de-cluttering but I can't help it. It's so thrilling to get rid of things that are just taking up precious space in your home, car, office and mind!

Over the years, I've come to realize that I want a space that reflects me through and through. We'll have to talk about design and aesthetics another time, but for now...know the first step is clearing stuff out.
There's something so relieving when you let go of something you no longer need. Right?
Without fail, every time I de-clutter and organize, 2 things come up for me:
So the question is - Do you want to keep those old granny panties or are you ready to make space for something amazing? How long will the clutter build up in your life that you may be ignoring but is still hanging over your head....or even worse, overwhelming your life?
To get you started, here's a gift for you -- because I know how excited you are to de-clutter (just pretend for a moment! ;))
10 Simple Ways to De-Clutter Your Life - this free e-book has 10 easy and fun ways to get you started on getting your space cleared out.
And here's a bonus tip to make the process quick and powerful:
As you are trying to decide to keep/throw away something, ask yourself,
"Do I LOVE it?”
This is the best question to ask yourself when de-cluttering...and really for most decisions you have to make!
Your initial response is the right answer to say yay or nay to the item. If you love it, it's yours! And if not, well there's another person who could love it. Or maybe it's time for it to be recycled into something better. And sometimes, it's just ready to be buried in the landfill - yes, someone had to say it's time to throw that away.
Follow your gut feeling -- without guilt that you're letting go of something so valuable. Do you actually know anyone who has sold something of value on the Antiques Roadshow? And listen, in case you really need to get that item back later, Target probably carries it.
And for the sentimental stuff - take a picture if you want to treasure the memory but know you won't use the item. You can still cherish the gift or memory the items holds but in a non-clutter kind of way.
A special asterisk for the moms - if this means throwing out your kids' trillionith art project, please don't send any crying kids my way. Just remember they'll have a new project you can hang -- probably by tomorrow.
De-cluttering is truly the first step in getting freedom and what you love in life, even if you may scoff at the notion. Give it a try and let me know what comes up for you!
It's time to make way for what you LOVE in life so here's to saying 'thank you but buh-bye' to what you don't!

There's something so relieving when you let go of something you no longer need. Right?
Without fail, every time I de-clutter and organize, 2 things come up for me:
- I feel so much lighter! Many things I'm able to donate and it makes me feel better that someone will actually use the clothing/accessory/item rather than just gathering dust in my space. And I never even miss it since I wasn't using it anyways.
- Something new and wonderful comes into my life. Sometimes it's a 1:1 relationship where I will get rid of some nasty old items (ahem granny panties) and then it's replaced with something brand new and fabulous. Or sometimes it's 1:1 million in the case of great new relationships that have come into my life -- including the DH (acronym for Dear Husband that took me years to figure out!).
