Like a great workout routine you start, and you're consistent and motivated and the momentum is building and you're like I CAN DO THIS!!!!!!!!!!!
And then one day you have to miss a workout...you're tired, your head hurts, you had a bad day, you ate chik-fil-a, or you just don't feel like it. Whatever it is, you say...
But somehow your quick pit stop on the road to hotness ends up stopping completely.
What's worse is not so much the stopping as it is the guilt, shame, feeling like a failure that starts to rear its ugly head after some time. And you get SO stuck in this place and it's hard to get going again. What you were so pumped to do, now feels like, how could I start again?
It's too hard.
What's the point?
And then life goes on...but not the way you deeply desire. And the feeling is dull, blah, aggravating and a big. huge. SIGH.
So I have to apologize to you because I haven't posted in quite some time. It's not that I didn't think of you. In fact, I think of you on a weekly basis and allllllllll the stuff I want to share with you. Like...
- Traveling to Malaysia for 3 weeks for a spiritual retreat
- Moving to a new apartment (I luwah it!)
- The de-cluttering phase I'm in which has gone to all new heights (I literally cleared out all old addresses from my Amazon account to make ordering easier - perhaps neurosis? ;))
- Starting a women's circle out of my home monthly
- Cooking at home more, exercising and losing a few pounds!
- Re-connecting with my hubby on a whole new level <3
- Volunteering at a local women's non-profit
- And the list goes on...
And that's just too much pressure. Rather than just sharing as I normally do because I love you.
And each week that passed, it got easier to say, ok, I'll just work on it next week. And the next. And you know how the story goes.
So what can you do from here?
Well I just STARTED again. I remembered that no one was actually grading me on the other side. Or in my adult life, no one was judging me -- except my own self.
I reflected on why it is I started this and why you are so important to me. Why the work I do to help women step into their greatness is purposeful and fulfilling. It's what I want! And if I want it, I can start again.
And what I share most with clients (and myself) is that we get the chance to start fresh again.
Literally, in every breath, we get life again. God gives us this beautiful gift to LIVE in every single breath.
So the best time to start again is NOW. No guilt, no judgment, just honoring what you want. Knowing things don't happen overnight (no matter what world Kim, Kylie and Kendall live in - still don't understand that weird phenomenon!) and that your desires are waiting for you to step into them.
Whether it's the body, career, relationship or the layer beneath -- the purpose, the fulfillment, the wholeness...you can start today.
Full permission, beautiful!
