You’ll never believe this and I’m still in shock about it. But, for reals, I can't make this stuff up.
It’s a true story about following my intuition, even when it made NO sense at all.
You might know how intuition feels…that tingly feeling inside when something just feels right.
Or the gut instinct you can feel to your core.
Sometimes it draws you to something or makes you feel connected.
Other times, it may send a strong message to move away from something.
Often times, it makes no sense but you just … know.
Maybe you follow it....
and maybe you don't.
But here’s what I’m learning over and OVER again.

It’s a magnificent gift to follow your intuition. The source of divine messaging to lead you on the right path. Because news flash, our brains are so limited. Yes, your mind may be screaming “No! that doesn't make any sense!" or "That's not practical," or whatever it likes to ‘think’, but the real truth is within your heart....where the intuition spills from.
Can you think of a time when you followed your intuition and it was a whoaaaa moment? Maybe you realized it later and were so grateful you followed your intuition, even though it didn't make sense at the time.
Here's my whoaaaa story...
So I kept my home in VA and have been renting it out. My last tenant had moved out and there wasn’t anyone new lined up. I wasn’t too worried because I'd done all the ‘right things’ with advertising and I knew the location and home would find a new tenant quickly. But…a week goes by empty, then a few weeks and then the mortgage came due. Still no tenant and all of a sudden, I had a HUGE bill to pay. Sigh.
I started worrying…
There was lots of interest but nobody was actually signing a contract, and I was getting so frustrated. Frustration turned to panic and my mind started going on overdrive, like, "Okay, let me try this. Let me do that," but well, nothing was working.
There was a niggling part of me that felt like something was off. Out of alignment. I couldn't figure out what it was, but I sure as hell wanted to just solve this tenant issue.
Meanwhile, in another realm, I kept getting this strong intuitive message to scale back at work. For months, this feeling came up. To go part-time at a great company with work/life balance and flexibility to work from home. Sounds like the perfect gig, right? Why would I scale back?
Well, things have been growing in my coaching business, and I felt I needed more time…more energy to devote to this endeavor. I knew, in my core, it was time to draw a line in the sand to declare I was stepping into my calling.
My passion of empowering women, giving them confidence and showing them how to love their life.
So I took the first scary step and talked to my boss about it. And well, like anything that is divinely guided, it was really easy. Everything was good to go, and we just needed to set a firm date for when I would go part-time.
But here’s where things got complicated.
Like any sensible person, I thought “Ok, I’ll go part-time when a tenant comes.” Right?!
But I was waiting and waiting and waiting and worrying and panicking. AND there was still no tenant.
The intuitive message to scale back was getting louder and louder but it felt SO
Unsafe.
Unstable.
Impractical.
I mean, the math literally wasn’t working.
But the feeling was tugging at me…I knew it was time to step into my calling.
To take a leap of faith.
So I talked it out with my coach and she asked me a beautiful, simple question:
What would you do if you were coming from a place of fear and what would you do if you were coming from a place of faith and trust?”
In that moment, I felt the answer in every cell of my body…
a tingly feeling radiating throughout my body.
Immediately, I sat down and emailed my boss to tell her I was officially going part-time the next week!
And here’s where I can’t make this stuff up. Within 3 minutes (YES 3), an email pops up from my realtor saying, "We have an application. It's processing right now and looks good." Within the week, the lease was signed and a lovely tenant moved in.
WOW.
Was that all I needed to do? Follow my intuition and trust to take the leap? To have faith I would be taken care? To follow what my mind couldn’t make sense of but my heart knew.
Following my intuition.
And you have it too.
YOU HAVE INTUITION.
It’s not just something for certain people, it’s there, in everyone.
It’s always guiding you...but sometimes it’s hard to hear, difficult to feel.
Between everything coming at us…all of the politics, the social media, the daily grind we call life. You may feel like you’re just trying to survive day by day….and yet, your heart is yearning for you to THRIVE.
What would it be like to listen, to feel, and to follow your intuition?
What if you did, just for this week? It may be a small whisper. Maybe it’s someone who pops up in your head...and you reach out to say you were thinking of her. Maybe it’s not doing something that you feel deeply is just not right, for now.
Whatever it is, big or small, trust your intuition and follow it.
I'd love to hear about what happens afterwards. The connection you make or the strange coincidence or the opening that you’ve been waiting for. Trust me, nothing you can say will be too out there. Promise. :)
For now, comment below with a time you have followed your intuition and your whoaaa moment. It's always fun to hear these moments!
Hugs,
Shazia
