For those of you who have been following, I went on a reading deprivation, or fast let's call it, for 1 week. That meant no reading of books, no watching TV, and NO social media (yes, that means no Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and I threw in no WhatsApp for good measure). The week was SO much better than expected and I felt...
I got SO much done, it's incredible. Stuff that needed to get done and stuff that had been sitting on the backburner for a while.
Most importantly, I felt Present.
Present to what was happening in the moment. Noticing what was going on around me and appreciating it. Taking care of things intentionally. Paying full attention to people and my environment...and myself.
What was most surprising is that I could hear my intuition so clearly. Giving my brain a rest from taking in so much information from everything else gave me the space to hear my own thoughts. It was a mental de-cluttering I desperately needed.
I fully believe that as women, our direction comes directly from our intuition. The inner voice, the gut feeling, the 'sense' we get when something just feels right is always guiding us the right way. We may not know why or how or what...but more often than not, when we follow our intuition (even if it make no practical sense), things open up for us in miraculous ways.
And that's exactly what happened for me in just a week's time without information overload. My purpose and next steps became so crystal clear, even I was shocked at how rapidly it happened.
How did I know? Well I could feel it. Not just in an esoteric kind of way -- I was literally feeling those tinglies you get when something is JUST right. My body was literally in tingle mode most of the week and I kept thinking...
Ok, God...I feel you. Literally. Yes, I'm listening. Yes, I'm moving forward!!!
