Today marks my most favorite time of the year, Beautiful...
Ramadan!
If you're celebrating -- Ramadan Mubarak...Ramadan Kareem...Happy Ramadan...Feliz Ramadan to you!!
If not, let me share this holy month where Muslims fast with no food or drink (yes that means no water!) from sunrise to sunset for 30 days! You might be thinking...'Shazia, why in the world would that be the most wonderful time of the year?! that sounds SO hard!'

For me, it's so much more than no food and water. It's about going inwards, reflecting, and connecting to God in the most intimate way.
If you're curious, listen in to my Feminine & Fulfilled Podcast episode on Fasting. I share more about this sacred month (from my personal perspective). And in typical fashion, I also divulge insider secrets that are HILARIOUS! Like the time a woman isn't fasting (because fun fact, women don't actually fast the entire month) and is caught red-handed by her boss with a powdered donut halfway stuffed in her mouth!
Also --
Every year, I make a powerful intention for the month of Ramadan. It deepens this time of reflection, gratitude and connection. This year my intention is to be:
-- Intimate with God --
And in turn, intimate with myself. I've found I'm so distracted with my phone or food that I don't stop to sit.
To Listen.
To be in the powerful energy of everything flowing around me and through me.
I know my calling is big, my purpose so great, and yet...how will I know it fully if I'm not present? So this Ramadan, I'm committed to connecting my Creator in a deep way. Giving space, being in quietude, and receiving what it is longing to be shared with me. Perhaps the yearning is from my side...but I need to allow it to come in!
Beautiful - Intentions are a powerful way to manifest your deepest desires and I invite you to join me in making one too. Just respond back to this email with your intention. I'll be sure to hold it with me in this sacred time too.
Hugs,
Shazia
